I would replace it, I've done what Mark suggested on a 1.3ghz computer before and then 2 months later, came home from work one day and it was dead, ending up giving me a good reason to upgrade to a new mobo and cpu, that's why I say replace.  I just recently bought 3 new fans from newegg for something like $22 shipped.

Thanks for the tips, guys.  I'll probably get a new fan.  In fact, I might
take this opportunity to replace the mobo altogether.  It's almost 2 years
old, so not old, but not all that new.  I always buy things that are not
cutting edge (it's just not worth the money).  By now I can probably make
it a lot faster for not too much money.
