So far the Windows version has been working okay for me. It doesn't render entirely the same as it's Mac version which is a bit annoying to me as it means I really need to test my work on both OSX and Windows (luckily that isn't to big a deal thanks to VMWare). I hope the new version of Safari fixes some weirdness it has especially w/ Javascript/DOM. I've fixed a lot of weird errors in my JS related to Safari - many of them things such as reserved variable names that shouldn't be reserved. Still - way better than IE 6 or 7.

I know nothing of the Windows version, but I can get the OS X Safari 3.0 beta to crash spectacularly doing some very ordinary things. Which is, I guess, why they call it beta.

Not getting into the whole why don't they report them to Apple first
thing (you can ask the Errata guys about their disclosure policy on
this), I wonder why would Apple open themselves up to this.

I actually don't believe the stuff they say late in the message, but there's no question that this version of the beta is buggy, and (in my opinion) too buggy to hand out very widely.

Which is a shame, because Safari 3.0 (beta) is very clearly faster
than the current production version. On the bright side, to the extent
that the speed comes from changes to the WebKit stuff which is open
source and used in Konqueror (among other projects), this should
eventually help more people than just those who use Safari.
