So I just noticed that 32GB SSDs are now down to about $400, which is
almost down to $12 per GB, compared to maybe $1 per GB for an ordinary
notebook HD. Somebody also just announced a 256GB SSD, but I don't
know the price. Based on the price of 2 GB units, the 32 GB units
could fall in price by 30% or more pretty quickly, but it could
presumably take another year or three before they dominate standard
HDs in notebook situations (being both cheaper and better).
