Congratulations, Mark! Luckily they are very good at repairing cleft lip these days. You can hardly tell adults who've have had the surgery from those who never needed it. Also, recurrence risk is pretty low, if you are thinking of having more kids.

I just looked at the Wikipedia link on your web page.  That's pretty
interesting because I never even thought that Tom Brokaw and Annie Lennox
had cleft lips.  I would have thought that Joaquin Phoenix had it but I
guess not.


Well it *is* Wikipedia, and a lot of those names have no source attached. I think Mark Hamill got his scars from an auto accident, for example.
