You've mine, and I hope you land on your feet. I hope for you what
happened for me.... namely that I ended up someplace I never would have
gone had it not happened to me, that new place being beyond my limited
ken on how much better things could actually be.
I'm sure a lot of people will tell you things like, "He'll get his", and
"What goes around comes around", and "Karma", but I gotta say, don't
hang your hat on it because I think the opposite is more often true
because it's a rum world. I hope for you that you find justice and that
that justice is not that he get his comeuppance (though there would be
nothing wrong with that if he did), but rather that you'll end up in
such a better situation that you'll actually want to thank him in your
mind for his small-mindedness because it benefited you so greatly. I
still symbolically send a Christmas card to my former boss in my mind
every Christmas and laugh inwardly at how his petty attempt to hurt me
was so beneficial.
