What is better is using firefox with adblock plus and flashblock so you
do not see ANY ads....

Does that add functionality to Google Desktop? Google Desktop seems
to search the browser cache. Maybe this stores more?
I would be a little concerned that this makes it possible for someone
to look way back at everything you've been seeing. I don't usually
mind that, but then again, it does feel a little creepy that you could
be spied on.
Knowing Google, they will use the info to tailor advertisements to
you. I guess that's better than seeing a lot of really irrelevant ads.
