I think that's a big part of it. We really have to get over that.
First, they are not all corrupt. Second, our perception that they are
corrupt only encourages more corruption. Corruption is a devastating
problem in third-world countries. If we want to live that way, it can be
arranged -- just keep increasing the income/wealth gap and keep on
electing and re-electing obviously corrupt people. That will do it,
eventually.
