The www comes for free because you paid for the right to use amazon.com. Then it all depends on where your own primary DNS server is, and who you pay to manage it for you.


OK - so it was probably a problem on the DNS server at U Minnesota then. It was odd that I had to delete the "www." out of any amazon.com URL to get it to work.
