He probably felt a lot of pressure from home and couldn't cope, so he tried to get himself killed. It was a tough day for UMR but maybe he'll be ok in the end UMR will get over it.

I'm afraid it's over for him. He's in jail, he's going to be tried and maybe deported. No one will want to hire him as a civil engineer. I feel bad for him. When I was in his shoes I took a summer off and worked 12 hours a day at a factory job and got my head on straight. Rolla has this reality distortion field where the only thing in the world is the school, and you have get out of there once in a while to stay sane.

I'm sure the students who were decontaminated of powdered sugar, in a
tent on Pine street, in February, are not wishing him well.

By the way, you mentioned that they used to do suicide instead of
terrorism. Apparently they think this guy wanted to be killed by the
police, so he was trying to kill himself.

Back in my day, you would hang yourself quietly from the door closer in your dorm room. None of this attention-seeking stuff with cops and manifestos and faux-anthrax.

Kids these days.

Mark
