He probably felt a lot of pressure from home and couldn't cope, so he
tried to get himself killed. It was a tough day for UMR but maybe he'll
be ok in the end UMR will get over it.
By the way, you mentioned that they used to do suicide instead of
terrorism. Apparently they think this guy wanted to be killed by the
police, so he was trying to kill himself.
