... He was going to fight it to the end. His legal counsel persuaded him to settle, and he didn't like it. The settlement was also for a lot less than originally requested. IIRC. If he were really like that, I am surprised that more people didn't come forward. It was a really strange situation from the start.

Furthermore, Mike, while your question makes sense, it really isn't beyond the realm of possibility that it has a reasonable answer. But you ask it in a manner "of course no reasonable explanation exists," but then what is worse, when someone does provide a reasonable explanation, you accuse that person of a hidden agenda.


It would be better if you first asked the question, then allowed someone to provide a reasonable explanation, and then the proper response on your part is to provide a logically stated and calm counter-argument as to why the reasonable explanation might not hold up. That way you have a proper and reasoned conversation, and perhaps even some hope of coming to a consensus.
