You'd be surprised how many people have heard my rant and then confessed 
to eating theirs, either out of convenience or otherwise.   If you ever 
catch your wife doing it......    well.... it will be a fun time.  I 
will concur that this is a hygienic issue, but less of a 'gross' one 
than most people like to make it.

I find the people are the most grossed out about it are the ones most 
likely to doing it *grin*.
