Cheap labor is a problem? Instead of "trying" above, I would have said
"pretending." Republicans have two constituencies to serve: Those who
want to hire cheap labor and those who want to send the darned illegals
back to Mexico. They play both sides against the middle by coming up with
seemingly stern measures that don't work. Thus "pretending." That
700-mile fence plan is hilarious! Same for putting troops on the border.
