I did it and it worked. Woo hoo! I'll tell you, that made me really,
really happy. It quadrupled my RAM for free and the system is running
much, much better. I had no idea that my old RAM stick on my discarded
mobo would work, and I was overjoyed when I saw that the amount and
configuration of RAM was exactly what I needed to max out the mobo I am
now using. Upgrading RAM is always a nice experience because it's just
aobut the easiest thing you can do inside a computer case. I can also
tell you that WinAmp works a *lot* better with more RAM when you have a
big media library.
