Another reason I am a little leary of this whole flat tax affair is we

(http://www.heritage.org/about/staff/DanielMitchell.cfm). and then we
have the page I mentioned in a previous message with libertarians,
progressives, etc all commenting on its greatness. If so many
politicians think it is so great, why haven't they done something before
now? Besides, I get a little scared when so many politicians get
together and agree on something like this and say it is "good for us."
Then again, I could be full of it and it could all be a Republican plot
to try to make the left look bad again...
I don't like a flat tax, but I like a simple tax code. It can be simple
without being flat. I want my tax rate to increase as I make more money
so that I get to keep more of my income when I really need it.
