Another reason I am a little leary of this whole flat tax affair is we have people from most political parties supporting it. We have Dick Armey on the left

and we have people from the right like Daniel J. Mitchell, Ph.D., (http://www.heritage.org/about/staff/DanielMitchell.cfm). and then we have the page I mentioned in a previous message with libertarians, progressives, etc all commenting on its greatness. If so many politicians think it is so great, why haven't they done something before now? Besides, I get a little scared when so many politicians get together and agree on something like this and say it is "good for us."

Then again, I could be full of it and it could all be a Republican plot to try to make the left look bad again...

I don't like a flat tax, but I like a simple tax code. It can be simple without being flat. I want my tax rate to increase as I make more money so that I get to keep more of my income when I really need it.
