And what does an employee who has no vacation time left do if they live
on a street covered with snow?
State employees operate on the same system. My wife has only worked at
the state for 2 months so she is using 9.5 out of her ~14 vacation
hours for today and a hour and a half yesterday when we left when it
started to get nasty. I don't like the system but the press would
tear up the Governor by saying that he wasted ~2 Million of the states
limited dollars by giving everyone a free day off ( I could see the
politcal ad now). I am pretty sure someone would say the same thing
about the chancellor of MU also.
On another note, I just spent the last 6 hours shoveling my driveway
with my wife.
