Employees and supervisors should use personal discretion in deciding
whether or not they can safely report to work.

And what does an employee who has no vacation time left do if they live
on a street covered with snow?
I'm with you on this. If the weather was bad enough that it was unsafe
for most people to drive to work, they should call a snow day and give a
day off to everyone. Otherwise, they should have a normal work day. I
also think they are putting themselves in an awkward position legally.
What if a worker is in a bad accident and sues the University? I think
they'd have a case because the University is admitting that driving to
work may be dangerous but they are requiring that employees drive in
anyway.
