I'm not religious, so the religious aspects bug me some, but 90% of
Americans say that they believe in God, so I guess I can let it slide.
Anyway, here is the recent letter from Mahmoud Ahmadinejad to the American
people:
http://www.nytimes.com/packages/pdf/international/29letter.1.pdf
I think you can all access that letter. If not, let me know.
So is Ahmadinejad saying anything that is patently false or disturbing?
I read through it quickly and, giving him the benefit of the doubt here
and there, I think he makes a lot of good points.
Check out what gentle peacenik Jimmy Carter is saying about Israel:

Of course, not everyone agrees with him...
http://www.pbs.org/newshour/bb/middle_east/july-dec06/carter_11-28.html
...but are Carter's *facts* wrong? Is it not true that Israel was holding
more than 9,000 Palestinian prisoners including many women and hundreds of
children at the time when Palestinians kidnapped a single Israeli soldier?
Is it not true that Israel (with the [almost pathologically] strong
support and encouragement of Bush/Rice) massively overreacted to this
minor event? Is it not true that the reporting in the US was highly
slanted to favor Israel?
Mike
