The point of this whole thread was whether people pick on one time comments unfairly. It started with the current picking on Kerry, and I agreed with you that this was wrong. But then someone else picked on the Republicans because that person interpreted their statements as saying Democrats are traitors. I pointed out that this is just as bad as picking on Kerry.

Now, if you want to change the subject to "are the Democrats really into appeasement," that is fine. I'm not feeling up to that discussion right now, but maybe someone else wants to get into it.

I thought you changed the subject when you said "I happen to agree with Rove."

In the meantime, let's stay on subject. Do you feel that those statements of Rove were meant to imply that Democrats are traitors?

I think they were meant to imply that Democrats will not fight a terrorist enemy, and that they believe terrorists just need to be treated better and they will top killing people, or that they will try to establish a dialogue with someone like Osama bin Laden. Rove wants us to think that Democrat politicians are very naive. I don't think they are at all.

See my next message "Bush Administration very weak on terror" for some factual details.
