I don't know what Kerry did in France, but my oint is that no one need to anything to be arrested and imprisoned for life. We're doing away with "innocent until proven guilty" and by allowing the president to choose the committee that reviews cases, we're letting the cops be the judges. You just can't throw this kind of a monkey wrench into the works of our legal system without seriously messing things up. The President becomes all powerful. Where is the balance of power? Have we all gone mad?

For those of you who like Bush, imagine that a Democrat becomes president in a few years. Do you want that kind of power in the hands of a political rival? I sure don't. I don't want anyone, ever, to have that much power.

Mike
