My only question to you is did you watch Fahrenhype 9/11 movies which shows the discrepancies and lies like you said you were going to do when you admited that fahrenheit 9/11 was spun hard left?

Still haven't seen it, but I do still want to see it. That seems like a good idea. I should say that Fahrenheit 911 gets 84% on Rotten Tomatoes, but FahrenHYPE 9/11 gets only one review and it says "Peterson and Morris aren't really capable of building an argument against Moore and they certainly don't present an entertaining film like Moore did." So I'm not all that enthusiastic, but I put it at the top of my Netflix rental queue just to make Jerry happy.

I watched it a few days ago. The film is clearly not designed primarily to inform the viewer. The approach is mostly manipulative, urging more patriotism and so on. It wasn't a good movie and I didn't like it much, but I watched all of it. Dick Morris is a famous political manipulator (he used to work for Clinton but got in trouble for telling things that he shouldn't have to prostitutes he was having sex with), so I didn't expect him to make a movie I would like.

I will say that they did nail Moore on one or two points. Unfortunately for them, they weren't important things and they weren't things I remembered from Moore's movie. When I watch these documentaries about highly politically-contentious issues, I don't really believe most of what I'm hearing. I probably forgot almost everything that Moore said, but I do remember interviews and film footage and I remember the overall argument that was presented. I try to remember the things that are really persuasive, and they probably are usually true.

Have you guys been watching "The Power of Nightmares"? It is great. I have watched two hours so far and I find it amazing. They show plenty of footage of old interviews, testimony, etc. The stories about the terrorists and the stories about the neocons are all very interesting and presented very clearly. I have seen no other program on this history that even comes close. "Fahrenheit 9/11" is not in the same league at all as "The Power of Nightmares." You can just ignore the editorializing in the first couple of minutes and focus on the facts, and there are plenty of facts to focus on.

Mike
