Those look like good movies. If I get the chance I'll try to view them.

Did you ever get a chance to see the "Testimony" life of Shostakovich movie? It came out on DVD very recently. I actually bought myself a copy even though it was $30. Admittedly the sound and visual quality isn't great, but I still think of it as a crowning artistic achievement.

Neat. Thanks for reminding me. It is now on Netflix and I added it to the top of my rental queue. They are calling it "Testimony: Tony Palmer's Story of Shostakovich." The movie came out in 1988 -- that's a long time to go from film to DVD.
