I love it with you people.

If someone pulls the wool over our eyes, it's an intelligent oversight, or a intelligence failure and you want heads to roll. Barring that, our intelligence services are omniscient, and you want heads to roll.

People like this have no credibility left.

Um.. all our intelligence was to the contrary.... not to mention the fact that the USSR claimed to have them and went ahead and let tensions build to breaking point over various issue with never fold because the US dared to call its bluff.

I don't believe that we didn't know better. Same with Iraq. There are forces in government that can control intelligence so that it supports what they want to do.
