And he shall show them the road to the promised land of paradise.
Whatever.
This coming from the person who motivates people to every once in a
while (once or twice a year) post statistics that show that for sheer
volume of posts, Mike beats all comers hands down.

Just to let you know...
I cannot respond to most people's messages because there often are too
many of them. So sometimes my responses to critics are too brief to
provide a rationale that makes my perspective clear and this can only
make things worse. Therefore, to avoid more problems I will only
reply to messages about political or religious matters that seem (A)
serious and well-reasoned, or (B) factual (as in citing published
materials). I am not saying that people have to agree with me to get
a response -- they don't -- but I am saying that messages that consist
of opinions and feelings and that lack a clearly logical argument, or
messages about what I am like as a person, will not get a response.
That doesn't mean I won't read such messages. I might read them but
if they are long I won't finish them and I won't respond to them.
This should only apply to contentious issues and when it comes to
discussions about computer stuff or gadgets I'm sure nothing will change.
In fact, I would recommend that everyone do what I am planning to do
and probably we'll find that the quality of postings improves.
Best,
Mike
