A friend had an older Nokia phone (only had black/blue screen, no SIM
card) and dropped it into a glass of ice water in the car with me,
twice in two days. Just set it on the dash each time and let it dry
out, turned it back on and worked like a champ.

I have a Motorola now and I can even toss it on my bed without having
both the screen and outside screen go stop working on me (back light
still working, but no display). I dropped my old Nokia and the
plastic cracked, but never had the screen stop working.

Yeah, I still have this phone, although it hasn't been charged in a
couple of years. I'd be willing to bet that, barring battery issues (and
the awrful screen), it'd work just fine if needed.

Millions of dollars from various governments, business and NGOs spent on
developing hardware, protocols, software and you people use it to
pretend to fart at each other...
