Well it looks like the big illegal alien walk-out was a wash-out. Oh
there were people walking the streets, and a few businesses closed
here in California. Most of the people on the streets out here were
students who are always looking for a chance to skip school.

The place I normally visit for lunch closed down today, I won't be
darkening their doorway again, I don't want to support any place that
supports people who break the law. I wonder if they would be so
understanding if I skipped out of the restaurant without paying for my
lunch sometime?

As it turns out, I tried a Bar-B-Que place next door that I had never
tried before, and it was really good, much better than I had expected
so being turned away from my deli habit ended up being a good thing.

The truth is, other than having to find a different place to each
lunch today, the only way my life was impacted was fewer people on the
highway, or so it seemed. Usually traffic is bumper-to-bumper at
5:15pm when I am coming home. It usually takes me 35 minutes to travel
16 miles, today it took me 20 minutes.

So if this is how it would be without illegal aliens around, then go
ahead and send them all home, one less restaurant is not a terrible
thing, while less cars filling up our highways, well that is a good
thing. Not to mention the environmental impact, all of those 1968
Impala station wagons, 1971 Chevy Endura Vans, and 1975 Ford pickup
trucks belch all kinds of greenhouse gases.

Now I suppose the illegal immigrants will want to take Friday off as
well. Cinco De Mayo or some such.
