It is a fun idea, but I think the goal should be to nearly fully block

through after repeated attempts might as well not exist -- it only burdens
the system and it ultimately fails to protect. Using a string of eight
upper-case letters and digits, properly distorted, gives you a probability

Groovy, Mike. But, while in a rush, I've missed a couple distorted
challenges for even shorter passkeys, and I won't pass on stories I've
heard from some older people I know. This isn't an idea to protect
your bank account, but to protect your blog from comment spam. Given
that aim, I think it might be a winner. (Of course, right now the
site is being hammered by kitten-clickers, and I'm guessing that some
of those are robots, but there you go.)
