I intend to read Boortz book about the proposed flat tax that's been
getting some press the last few months. Everything I've read and heard
about it, I tend to agree with. I'd be interested to hear if anyone else
has read it and what they thought.

I don't see the appeal of flat tax. It is very hard to give up 20% of
your income if you make $20k. It is a lot easier to do it if you make
$100k. The poor would then be motivated to vote for lower tax rates
because they'd need lower taxes just to survive. But a lower flat tax
rate would kill the budget.
So I think this is just a way to help the rich to get richer.
