Very true. RFID is a more modern concept that's used a lot and that is
powered by radio waves.
Of course, we were talking about the kind of power that would be required
to run a laptop. Try beaming that 360 degrees! If you are talking about
a reasonable amount of power, you have to focus it or you are going to
lose almost everything you produce. That would be fine if you have a
cheap enough way of doing it, but we don't.
