The 144 pin SODIMMs I need seem to be pricier than that. Plus, the
Thinkpad *apparently* only supports 512 MB. Right now, I found I
could scavenge a 256 MB SODIMM from some deceased hardware, so I've
got 384 MB on the ThinkPad, and Ubuntu runs much more smoothly (esp.
OpenOffice.org). If I can score another 256 MB SODIMM, I'll be up to
512 MB, which is all I can really justify for a notebook as relatively
slow as this one.
