I'm sure you knew better than that -- beaming power?
Tesla originally planned, and spent a lot of money on, beaming power to
every home through the air. What stopped his plan wasn't technical
failure but that his investors found out that by nature this would be
unmetered so they cut off his funding. To bad that we haven't had a
chance to see if he could have made it work. It certainly is plausible
though. Beaming power with microwaves is done sometimes but usually it's
not something you'd want to walk through as you'd probably get fried. It
is possible they could find a safe way to do it for low household
amounts of power though.
As always, the best jokes are the plausible ones.
Another clue:
"Availability: [ info ]
No suing"
Hmmm... "no suing" - that's the first time I've seen that! They
usually limit to "In Stock," "Out of Stock," and "This item ships
separately."
I didn't see that part. I just glanced at it before going to work. Just
long enough to get excited wondering how they'd made that work and
wanting to get one so I could examine it. Of course I saw it on the 31st
so for me it wasn't April Fools yet so it took a bit longer to click as
being a joke.
