Some of you seem to have nothing but contempt for Cindy Sheehan, which I
find interesting. Personally, I don't find her all that important, except
that she seems to be a big threat to certain people (e.g., O'Reilly talks
about her a lot). Of course she is upset about the war -- that makes
perfect sense. She does a good job of attracting attention to her cause,
which is an indication of competence. Other than that, what is the big
deal? Anyway, you probably know that she was wrongly arrested the other
night at the State of the Union speech...

...and the police have apologized for what they did to her. I have no
idea what they were thinking, but I guess they believed that it was a
crime to wear a shirt with words printed on it that implied a political
position on some issue. Cindy Sheehan's shirt read "2245 Dead. How many
more?" and that got her arrested. The congressman's wife's shirt read
"Support the Troops - Defending Our Freedom," which got her kicked out but
not arrested. Go figure. I guess the DC police need a little more
training.
According to a CBS news article, the two shirts had opposite meanings. I
disagree. Asking people to support the troops and suggesting that too
many soldiers have died are not promoting opposing plans.
