I wish we were all first-rate minds in this country but I know there are
plenty of the other two types. To be more specific, I think most people
agree with their friends. That puts them into the second- and
third-rate categories all the time. It's easy to see why it happens
because it is so hard to keep up with all the information that's needed
to form a solid opinion. It would be best if people could withhold
judgment until they were sure of what to do, but that's just not what
people do.
Yes, it's probably not evolutionarily advantageous to withhold judgement
until they are sure. :-)
