I think that this is a good example of a situation where one wonders if
anyone else could have done any better.
There was no provocation and therefore no need to rush into it. Of course
anyone could have done better. One way to do better would be to do
nothing.
Bush declined to go after bin Laden. He said that he wasn't concerned
about bin Laden. Now that bin Laden is claiming that he will orchestrate
another terrorist attack within the US, is Bush still not concerned? He
really went off the rails when he went into Iraq. That was a obviously
ridiculous plan that had to be propped up with a pack of lies.
