No, it doesn't say that. In fact, the string "chimp" does not even occur in that article. Have you really stooped to outright lying in an attempt to promote your religion?

Since you can't be bothered with the details

What the hell does that mean?

I will have to explain it to you.

The article I posted said that Mice and Men share all but 16 of more than 700 genomes. If you average that out, men and mice are 99.98% alike in their genetic makeup.

First, you don't know what "genome" means. The report said that mice and men both have all but *14* of 700 *genes* on chromosome *16*. I used "reading" to figure that out. I recommend reading to you -- it really works. The 686 mouse genes have "counterparts" in the human, but this does not mean sequence identity. So no, mice and humans are not 99.98% alike in "genetic makeup." Something like 17% of human and chimp genes studied are identical in sequence. That is probably almost 0% for human and mouse, but there may be some that are that highly conserved.

They share common susceptability to diseases and many of the same genes that control blood pressure and heart rate are found in both species.

Well, most genes found in people are also found in mice. That's no surprise. It's even more true for humans and chimps.

Conversly, this article says we are only 96% like chimps in genetic
makeup. Interestingly enough, Chimps are not susceptable to many of
the diseases that humans are. Yet somehow chimps become the "closest
living relative".

I suggested 95% and gave you a PNAS paper to ignore. Can you name a closer living relative to humans than the chimpanzee? You think it's the mouse? That's very funny. It shows once again how religion restricts reason and leads somewhat intelligent people into ignorance and imbecility. You probably aren't even embarrassed by the stupid things you are saying because you believe that you are helping your religion.
