OK, so *here's* something a bit wacky:

Ignoring the fluffy paragraphs at the top, we have crude photos of
standard food preparation steps, and then (at the bottom) the "data
flow" style recipe.  I find the latter intriguing.

Now the funny thing here is that food recipes in general turn out to
be shockingly similar to the "recipes" you find in lab manuals, and
not like the cooking for engineers one.  If you took Sambrook and
Russell's  "Molecular Cloning: A laboratory Manual" and globally
substituted (say) chicken for DNA and butter for sodium acetate, maybe
you'd end up with "Mastering the Art of French Cooking". :-)
