Is bad information better then no information at all?
The only information I ever get from Wikipedia is "some guy said this..."

...to which no one responded. It was an article in Nature that showed
Wikipedia was not very different from Encyclopedia Britannica in numbers
of errors in its articles on scientific topics.
So, Wikipedia often does rather well.
