Are you saying that the Korean chap claimed that he could create clones
without using pre-existing embryos?
He claimed that he could make embryos by cloning, then extract stem cells:
http://taxa.epi.umn.edu/bgnews/2005/msg00123.html
And did they do the cloning by replaing the nucleus of a pre-existing embryo?
No, it's an egg cell (an oocyte), not an embryo, that would be used that
way:
http://www.aamc.org/advocacy/library/research/res0003.htm
And it may be worth repeating that they were lying and they did not
succeed in their research. SCNT has not been done successfully with human
cells, nor with other primates nor with dogs.
