I'm sure there were companies that would offer to preserve tissue
samples or make cell lines so that you could clone your dog when that
was practical. And some companies that might have taken your money to
fund experimental attempts to clone your pooch. But dogs have
apparently proven much tougher to clone than sheep or cats (or
humans).
