In Islam, you *are* expected to slavishly follow the rules, but NOT

technically not following the rules any more.
Suppose someone understands the rules but decides that they are an absurd
joke and that they should not be followed. Should that person be killed
for expressing that belief in public? Isn't that one of the rules of
Islam?
In Islam, no one would begrudge your lighting fires and bringing light,
warmth, and cooked food to your homes, so long as one says, "It is
Allah(swt) who provides us with the wisdom and strength to light the
fire," rather than glorifying oneself for having such a cool technology.
Develop and use new tools, but maintain your humility before Allah(swt)
is the idea.
If someone were to conclude that there is no such thing as "Allah" and
that *people* invent technologies, and no technology comes from God or
Allah, should that person be killed if he makes such a claim in public?
