Underlying this, I'm concerned that "pro-life" groups want to portray
"pro-choice" groups as "pro-abortion" groups. Well, I don't think I've
ever met anyone, or seen anyone on TV, who is really "pro-abortion" in the
sense that they think there ought to be more abortions! That is an enemy
that doesn't really exist.
In the Penn & Teller show they said that "pro-life" and "pro-choice" are
really anti-abortion and pro-abortion. I think it is more correct to say
that they are either for or against laws prohibiting abortion. At least
that is the core difference. I agree with Penn & Teller that everyone
wants his group to be "pro" something instead of "anti" something.
