Mike of earlier. If you're not wearing skins from animals you killed
with flint weapons, then science quite obviously works.
I think you have to understand that Stephen is a mathematician and he is
thinking about the problem as a mathematician would think about a math
problem. That's reasonable. He can voice various kinds of objections
like "sure, science works now, but that has no implication for what will
happen next Tuesday." That's probably true. I'm thinking about how to
respond to him.
