We are re-using the good old Soviet-built gulag in Eastern Europe
itself to do our dirty work.
Just like we re-used Saddam's torture prison to torture Iraqis. I
guess we want to make sure that our victims "get it" or something.
And what they're supposed to get is "we're just as bad as Saddam" or
"we're your worst nightmare" or "we own your asses!" Unfortunately, this
isn't all that surprising right now. Maybe that will change after Nov.
2006.
