Well, the real gem, French Quarter, being on high grounds seems
to have been spared. I don't know about the nearby cementary.
: What history? Besides being a French outpost in the 1700's
New Orleans
: isn't really that Historic of a city (Unless boob flashing
and a
: tourist trap that smells like urine is history) in my opinion
.
: Not saying that it isn't a tragedy, just saying I don't see
New
: Orleans as one of the top historic cities in America.
Right. And Ragtag Jazz was invented in Columbia, MO. House of
the Rising Sun... who cares. Same for Easy Rider. The French
Quarter architectural complex being the only of its kind in the
US... so what does it take for a city to get on your top
historic list?
