Before I get into the sex abuse thing, I need to respond to this. What is really happening is Bush is not saying that global warming is a myth. He is saying that human influence on global warming needs to be studied further before he will feel compelled to act. The Bush Administration includes Bush's Science Adviser and many government scientists. So what's stopping Bush now? His own people agree that human influence on greenhouse gases is certain. The computer models have proved it beyond a reasonable doubt. Why does Bush hesitate to act now? Well...

And Bush has strong political allies in the oil business. He is an oilman himself, as are other members of his administration (e.g., Cheney, Rice). He doesn't want to act against the interests of big oil, not even by reducing fuel consumption. It is madness, and it is obvious -- as obvious as can be -- but this is what he is doing.
