I've been looking but most of the dogs in the animal shelters are
usually older dogs. We have heard (maybe incorrectly) that it would be
easier to house/cage train a pup. The puppy will have to be in its
cage 6-8 hours a day and we don't think an older dog who isn't used to
that would be very happy.
