If Krugman is so worried about the disparity between the haves and
have-nots, then why doesn't he pony up a couple million of his money
to make a difference?
While we are on it, Mike why don't you pony up some of yours too,
since I can almost guarantee you make more money than I do. Why don't
we take the difference of what you are making over me, and split that
in half and you can just go ahead and give it to me?
Is this is what you are implying should be done? Or what? OH, maybe
you would rather stick it hard to the companies that make so much
money? Those companies that support the school you work for? Those
companies that made it possible for the students at your school to pay
their over-inflated tuition. How about we go after those companies
that did well in the stock market, those companies the parents of your
students invested in to be able to pay the tuition that is now paying
your salary, maybe we should stick it to them?
You see, everyone wants to harp on sticking it to the big, evil,
greedy corporations, yet they do not see the benefits that come back.
Jobs are created for people when the corporations do well, these jobs
often give stock dividends, or are invested in 401K plans for people
to retire on. Mike do you have a 401K? Are you supporting the evil,
greedy, corporations in order to plan for your future? Wouldn't you
like to see the companies in your 401K doing well? Then why would you
want to be so hard on them?
I just don't get it, and likely I never will.
