Is it possible to make gmail display messages using a fixed-spaced font

Ah. Always, always search on google. The search for the 4 terms:
gmail fixed width font
That does help a little because I was not remembering that it is called a
"fixed width" font.
returned as the first hit:

which I'm guessing will do what you want. Woo hoo!
Actually, it does not do what I want. That was an instruction on how to
make Firefox impose a fixed-width font on Gmail. I want this to work for
my son, wherever he is. He might not be using Firefox (he'll probably be
using IE pretty often).
They seem to be aware of the problem and they have developed a solution
for their Groups...
