I played the role of the guy who was getting married in two days but decided to duck out of that scene to look at the latest in C compilers for the Mac. My quote was, I believe, "Well, technically I'm probably not supposed to be here, since the wedding is in two days..." She was _so happy_ to run into me after she'd been there only 10 minutes or so, because after talking to me and a couple of other geeks near the main entrance, she had a story that pretty much wrote itself.

That was approximately the fifth most geeky quote I have ever given to the press.

On my honeymoon (first one - 1988), I thought it would be way cool to go visit BF Skinner in his office at Harvard. We did that - spent about 30 minutes talking with him - and it was a great experience. We were divorced 7 years later, but I don't blame Skinner. I didn't need any help from him.
