"99 cases of beer on the wall..."

More seriously, when I got married, we got married where my wife's
parents lived, on a farm in Maine. I did have some friends come in
for the wedding, but there wasn't a big chance to haul everybody up to
Maine for that kind of thing. Plus, we probably would have played
Diplomacy or something.

But you have to do something. So, as my last, proud act of
bachelorhood, I drove down to Boston for the day, and...

...went to the MacWorld Expo. And, because I'm such a chick magnet, I
even got quoted by a reporter for the Boston Globe in her story on the
Expo. I played the role of the guy who was getting married in two
days but decided to duck out of that scene to look at the latest in C
compilers for the Mac. My quote was, I believe, "Well, technically
I'm probably not supposed to be here, since the wedding is in two
days..." She was _so happy_ to run into me after she'd been there
only 10 minutes or so, because after talking to me and a couple of
other geeks near the main entrance, she had a story that pretty much
wrote itself.

That was approximately the fifth most geeky quote I have ever given to
the press.
